Florida Keys Marine Equipment

Boat Lift Installation
Built for the Keys.

Keeping your vessel out of the water is the most effective way to protect it from saltwater corrosion, marine growth, and storm damage. Aqua Pilings installs boat lift systems designed and sized for Keys conditions — from deep-water channels in Key West to shallow-water sites throughout the upper Keys.

Why It Matters

The Keys are hard
on boats left in the water.

Saltwater corrosion, barnacle accumulation, and storm surge are not occasional problems in the Florida Keys — they are constant ones. A vessel left in the water year-round in the Keys requires significantly more maintenance than one that is kept out of the water between uses. A properly installed boat lift is the most practical solution for protecting your investment and simplifying your time on the water.

Not every lift is appropriate for every site. Water depth, tidal range, vessel size, and dock configuration all factor into which system works for your property. We assess your specific site before recommending anything — then we handle the installation, permitting, and coordination from start to finish.

We have been installing boat lifts across the Florida Keys for over 25 years, from the shallow flats of the upper Keys to the deeper channels near Key West. Every installation is done by our own crew — no subcontractors — so the work is done to our standard from the first post to the final tie-off.

Hurricane-Rated Systems Lift systems installed with hardware and anchoring methods rated for Keys wind conditions and storm surge.
Saltwater-Grade Materials Every component — hardware, cables, bunks, and frames — is selected for long-term performance in a marine saltwater environment.
Site-Specific Assessment Water depth, tidal range, vessel dimensions, and dock layout are all evaluated before we recommend a system.
Permits Handled In-House We manage all required permits through Monroe County, FDEP, and other applicable agencies — you sign, we handle the rest.
One Crew Throughout No subcontractors. The same licensed team handles your installation from site assessment through final inspection.
Why Lift Your Boat

What a boat lift
actually protects.

Keeping your vessel out of the water between uses is one of the most effective maintenance decisions you can make in the Keys. Here is what it directly addresses.

Saltwater Corrosion

Continuous saltwater contact accelerates corrosion on hull fittings, through-hulls, and underwater metals. A lift keeps your vessel out of the water when not in use, significantly reducing exposure.

Marine Growth

Barnacles, algae, and other marine organisms accumulate quickly on hulls in Keys waters. Keeping the hull dry between outings dramatically reduces growth and the associated cleaning and antifouling costs.

Storm & Surge Damage

A vessel secured on a properly installed lift sits above tidal surge and is less exposed to wave action during storm events, reducing the risk of impact damage and mooring line failures.

Easier Launching

A lift eliminates the need for trailering and boat ramp logistics. Lower your vessel, start the engine, and go — without the time and effort of loading and unloading at a ramp.

Hull & Drive Longevity

Less time in the water means less wear on hull paint, lower unit components, and trim tabs. Boats kept on lifts generally require less maintenance and hold their condition longer.

Resale Value

A vessel stored on a lift is easier to inspect, shows less corrosion and hull wear, and is generally more attractive to buyers — which translates to better resale value over time.

Boat lift installation — Florida Keys
Site Assessment

Every site is
different.

Water depth and tidal swing are the primary factors in determining which lift system is appropriate for a given location. The Florida Keys has considerable variation across its length — from the shallow tidal flats of the upper Keys to the deeper water channels of the lower Keys and Key West.

Before recommending a system, we visit your property and assess the water depth at your dock, the tidal range, your vessel's beam and draft, and the structural condition of your existing dock or piling system. This assessment determines which lift configuration will perform properly at your specific location.

If your dock or pilings are not in a condition to support a lift, we can address that as part of the same project — we handle dock construction, piling installation, and boat lift installation with the same crew.

Questions we hear regularly from Keys property owners about boat lift installation, site requirements, and what the process looks like.

Call Us Directly
Any waterfront property owner with a boat, PWC, or other watercraft can benefit. It is especially practical for anyone using their vessel regularly — a lift makes launching and retrieval quick and straightforward — and for owners who want to reduce maintenance costs and protect their vessel from the saltwater environment of the Keys.
The dry season — roughly November through April — generally offers more favorable conditions for scheduling and construction. Installing well before hurricane season is advisable so the system is in place and fully anchored before storm conditions arrive. That said, we work year-round and can accommodate project timelines as your schedule allows.
The right system depends on your specific site — water depth, tidal range, vessel size, and dock configuration. All systems we install use marine-grade, corrosion-resistant hardware and components rated for saltwater environments. After assessing your property we will recommend the appropriate configuration and explain the reasoning clearly before any work begins.
Yes. Boat lift installation in the Keys requires permits through Monroe County and in some cases FDEP. We manage the entire process in-house — drawings, applications, and agency coordination. You sign where required and we handle the follow-through to final approval.
We handle dock construction and piling installation as well, so if your existing structure needs repairs or upgrades before a lift can be installed, we can address all of it as part of the same project with the same crew. This is often more efficient and cost-effective than working with separate contractors.
